Turkey Classic Contest 2010, November 13-14th

If you're a contest surfer, like to watch contests, or hate most contest altogether, then you need to come out to the 2010 Turkey Classic. After a "lay day" in 2009, its back this year bigger than ever, coming back to the Pier after a brief stint at 10th Street. PIT Surf Shop is a sponsor, we're showing our support and you should, too. One big change this year is a doubling of the prize money in the Expression Session - first place now receives $1000! That's the event to watch, where competitors are being scored on their best maneuver per heat, which usually means airs and tail wafts. Please join the First Coast Chapter of The Surfrider Foundation for it's St Augustine meeting on Tuesday, October 19, at 7pm, at Mojo's Tacos (551 Anastasia Blvd).

Surfrider Foundation is a grassroots, environmental nonprofit organization dedicated to the protection of oceans, beaches, and waves. We are volunteer based and anyone who cares about the environment is encouraged to come to a meeting!!! Check us out at www.surfrider.org to see who we are and what we do.

The First Coast Chapter of The Surfrider Foundation will be having a beach cleanup Saturday, October 23, at 9am, at 10th Street in St Augustine Beach. Bags and gloves will be provided. We will meet in the parking lot. Everyone is welcome, come on out!

We have been recieving our first few shipments of wetsuits the last few days. We just got in Xcel's new Infiniti fullsuit and suits from Hyperflex starting at $59.99. We also have deals on the left over from last years stock. Stop by the shop Saturday for some free food, and give aways from your friends at SPY Optic. We will fire up the grill around 11:00, so get a morning surf in and stop by for some burgers and dogs.
