Mick Fanning Clinches 2nd World Title

Mick Fanning of Australia has clinched his 2nd ASP World Title. Saturday afternoon saw solid 6-8 foot surf at Pipeline in Hawaii, and with Joel Parkinson's early elimination in round 3, Mick Fanning won his second world title in three years.

Though Mick also went on to loose his third round heat to good friend Dean Morrison, he had enough of a lead over Parko to secure the title. The event has been on hold for the past two days, after Saturday saw the completion of rounds 3 and 4.

Here is a look at the quarter finals match-ups when competition resumes as early as Tuesday:

QF 1: Dean Morrison (AUS) vs. Damien Hobgood (USA)
QF 2: Flynn Novak (HAW) vs. Kelly Slater (USA)
QF 3: Bede Durbidge (AUS) vs. Taj Burrow (AUS)
QF 4: C.J. Hobgood (USA) vs. Dane Reynolds (USA)
